FAQs – WORKING WITH US
Every project starts with understanding what you want to achieve. Whether you are at the initial idea stage, already have drawings or approvals, or are preparing to begin construction, we can review your requirements and discuss how Chattala Projects can support the next stage of your project.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What information should I provide when contacting you about a project?
A brief description of the proposed work, the property or site location and an indication of what stage the project has reached are usually enough to begin the conversation.
If available, you can also provide photographs, existing drawings, planning information, surveys or other relevant documents. Don’t worry if you don’t have these yet — we can discuss what information may be required.
Do you offer an initial consultation or site visit?
Yes. We can initially discuss your project and requirements to understand the scope and determine the most appropriate next steps.
Where a site visit is necessary to assess the existing property, discuss the proposal or prepare an appropriate quotation, this can be arranged depending on the project and location.
Which areas do you cover?
We primarily undertake projects across London, Kent and the surrounding areas. For suitable projects, we may also consider work further afield depending on the scope and requirements.
Contact us with your project location and a brief description of the proposed work, and we can confirm whether we are able to assist.
How will I receive a quotation or fee proposal?
Once we understand the required scope of services, we will provide an appropriate quotation or fee proposal setting out the work we propose to undertake.
Depending on the project, this may include the scope of services, fees or construction costs, relevant assumptions, exclusions and any information required before work can commence.
Can I appoint you for only part of my project?
Yes. You do not necessarily need to appoint us for the entire project. We can provide individual services such as architectural design, technical drawings, project management or construction, depending on your requirements.
Where appropriate, we can also provide a more integrated service covering several stages from design development through to construction and completion.
What happens after I decide to proceed?
Once the scope, fees and terms of our appointment have been agreed, we will confirm the next steps and identify any information required to begin.
Depending on the service, this may involve arranging a site survey or meeting, developing the design, preparing technical information, establishing the project programme or planning for construction.
