Can you take over a project where planning permission has already been obtained?
Yes. Where planning permission or design information already exists, we can review the approved drawings and available project information before discussing the next stage.
Depending on the project, this may involve technical design development, Building Regulations information, coordination with specialist consultants, construction planning or delivery of the works.
Who coordinates the design during construction?
Design information may continue to require coordination as construction progresses, particularly where specialist details, structural information or site conditions need to be incorporated.
As part of an agreed Design & Build service, we coordinate relevant design and construction information and work with the appropriate consultants, specialists and trades to support project delivery.
Can the design be changed during the Design & Build process?
Yes, changes can often be considered as the project develops. However, their effect on planning or Building Regulations approvals, technical requirements, construction cost and programme should be assessed before the change is implemented.
Considering changes early helps minimise disruption and reduces the risk of altering work that has already been designed, ordered or constructed.
